ITINERARY

DAY 1 – November 28 – Welcome to Germany! Upon your arrival at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), transportation will be waiting to whisk you away to your accommodations. After getting comfortably settled into your hotel, you’ll have the pleasure of indulging in a delightful welcome dinner with your fellow travel companions.
Note: We recommend your flight from the US arrives before 2pm on  November 28 to allow adequate time to join the day’s activities.

DAY 2 – November 29 – Take it easy this morning as you adjust to the new time zone. After lunch, your group will experience an authentic wine tasting at a family winery, sampling German specialties such as Riesling and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). In the evening, you will experience the winter wonderland of Frankfurt’s German Christmas Market. This market is one of Germany’s most special as its traditions date back to 1393. You will have a magical time taking in all the performances, local festive crafts, and food vendors.

DAY 3 – November 30 – Today, your group is set to embark on a scenic train journey to Rothenburg. Germany boasts one of Europe’s most impressive rail networks, and many of the country’s attractions are best experienced by train. During this captivating voyage, you will traverse through verdant forests, expansive open landscapes, and charming villages adorned with a dusting of snow. Upon arriving and checking into your Rothenburg hotel, you will have a leisurely afternoon to explore the market at your own pace before partaking in the Nightwatchman walk later in the evening.

DAY 4 – December 1 – Bid adieu to Rothenburg as your group departs for Munich, the capital of Bavaria, via train. Munich is renowned for its centuries-old architecture, an array of museums, and some of Germany’s most prominent breweries. While it enjoys worldwide fame for its annual Oktoberfest festivities, it also hosts a remarkable holiday atmosphere. This evening, immerse yourself in the enchanting Marienplatz Christmas Market, set against the picturesque backdrop of the neo-Gothic town hall.

DAY 5 – December 2 – FREE Day. Savor today at your leisure. You can indulge in a shopping spree, embark on a city tour, or delve into the rich offerings of Munich’s museums. Tonight, rejoin your group and venture into the city once more for a unique experience at the Medieval Christmas Market on Wittelsbacher Platz. Here, vendors don period-appropriate costumes, and delectable food is roasted over a traditional open fire, transporting you to a bygone era.

DAY 6 – December 3 – Exploring Bavaria in the winter season wouldn’t be fully satisfying without beholding one of the world’s most exquisite castles – Neuschwanstein Castle. Perched on a rugged hill overlooking the village of Hohenschwangau, this 19th-century historicist palace boasts a resplendent white limestone exterior adorned with deep blue turrets. It’s said to be the real-life muse for Disney’s Cinderella Castle, adding to its allure and enchantment.

DAY 7 – December 4 – Today marks the farewell to Munich as your group proceeds to the final destination of this delightful winter expedition – Stuttgart. After settling into your accommodation for the night, you’ll have a leisurely FREE afternoon at your disposal to discover those last-minute souvenirs before savoring a farewell dinner with your newfound friends. Embrace the wintertime cheer by partaking in one last enchanting visit to a Christmas Market.
