Upon arrival in Guatemala City, you will be whisked away to the beautiful cosmopolitan city of Cayala. This thoughtfully designed city is surrounded by popular shops, bars, and will provide an incredible introduction to this diverse country. Departing Cayala you will traverse this country (via helicopter) as you arrive at your luxurious lakeside Retreat Center. The retreat accommodation is situated on the picturesque volcano laced shores of Lake Atitlan in the heart of the Guatemalan highlands. The exotic thatch-roofed guest rooms are elegantly-decorated and surrounded by tropical flora, medicinal herbs, and relaxing hammocks. The Center features a cafe, healing spa, hot tub, sauna, boutique shop, cozy common areas, and a lakeshore fire pit that you will indulge in this week.
While relaxing on Lake Atitlan, treat your body to healthful meals, rejuvenating yoga classes, ancient healing ceremonies, and world-class spa offerings, including a massage and unlimited solar hot tub access! This Wellness adventure will take you into the jungle where you will explore the local culture and scenery through biking, hiking, and kayaking. DAY 1 – December 13 – Welcome to Guatemala City, Guatemala. Arrive at La Aurora International Guatemala Airport (GUA), where private transportation will bring you to your accommodation. After settling into your hotel, join your new travel companions for a welcome dinner in the city of Cayala.
DAY 2 – December 14 – Today, you will board a private helicopter for a quick but breathtaking flight to spectacular Lake Atitlan where you will check into your luxurious guest room. Spend the afternoon roaming the grounds of the retreat center, scheduling or enjoying your spa treatments, or simply breathing in the lush landscape from your private patio or balcony. Celebrate the adventures to come with an incredible dinner surrounded by a breathtaking lakeside sunset.
DAY 3 – December 15 – Explore Lake Atitlan from the shore and from the mountain above! Get acquainted with the waters of Lake Atitlan as you paddle along the rugged and beautiful north shore before hiking back through Mayan trails, here you will get up close with exotic plant life and bird species. This tour will provide a glimpse into Mayan culture as you pass by farmers tending to their maize and coffee fields or perhaps stop and witness men fishing from hand-hewn kayaks as they have for centuries. In the evening, treat your body to an incredible dinner surrounded by your travel companions.
DAY 4 – December 16 – Few tourists are lucky enough to discover the unique charm of Solola market. Hidden 7,000 ft in the mountains above Lake Atitlan, Solola is a critical center of trade for many local Mayan indigenous groups who travel daily to sell fruits, vegetables, fish, flowers, handicrafts, textiles, and even live animals. Once you’ve found your treasures at the Solola market, you will journey to the sacred caves of San Jorge. In the caves, Mayan shamans are known to perform Fire Ceremonies whereby negative energy is released, and positive energy is empowered. In the evening, you will again meet for a delicious healthy dinner to encapsulate a beautiful day of culture and positive energy.
DAY 5 – December 17 – Today you will utilize the strength of your body via bicycle to explore Lake Atitlan’s most-loved Mayan villages of San Marcos, San Juan, and San Pedro. We will cycle through coffee fields, the quaint town of San Pablo, and along the Crystalina beach. After a short break, you will tour the village of San Juan to learn of cultural significance behind their beautiful street art, visit art galleries, a medicinal plant garden operated by midwives, a coffee farm, and weaving cooperatives. In the evening, we will converge for a phenomenal dinner to round this day out.
DAY 6 – December 18 – FREE Day. Spend the day roaming the grounds of the retreat center, scheduling and enjoying your spa treatments, or just relaxing on your private patio or balcony. After returning to your accommodation, you will finish the day with a farewell dinner and a relaxing sunset.
DAY 7 – December 19 – Private helicopter transfer will take you back to La Aurora International Guatemala Airport (GUA) for your connecting flight to the US which will depart after 3 PM time.

- Traveler must make a NONREFUNDABLE deposit payment of $400 at time of registration to secure her spot.
- Monthly minimum payment of $400 is required on the first of every month until paid in full to keep your reservations current.
- Final payment must be made 90 days before the trip date.
- A 50% refund can be requested prior to 6 months before the trip start date found in your invoice.
- No refunds for cancellations within 6 months of the trip date found in your invoice.
- A $250 penalty will be charged for any outstanding balance after the final payment date found in your invoice.
