Commencing in Reykjavik, traverse the lively streets of the capital, marvel at architectural gems like the Hallgrímskirkja Church, and immerse yourself in cultural treasures while savoring local Icelandic cuisine. The adventure unfolds at the renowned Sky Lagoon, where geothermal waters merge with coastal splendor.
Heading south, Iceland’s Golden Circle unveils breathtaking showcasing natural wonders from the thunderous cascades of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss to the haunting black sand beaches of Reynisfjara. Explore the enchanting ice caves, a subterranean realm of glacial beauty. As night descends, the pièce de résistance emerges: the Northern Lights. With luck, witness the celestial dance adorning the Icelandic sky with vibrant hues. This expedition seamlessly blends urban charm with natural marvels, offering a tapestry of experiences that linger as indelible memories of Iceland’s captivating allure.
Note: We recommend leaving the US on October 13 so that your flight arrives the morning of October 14 – early enough to join your group for the Welcome Dinner on Day 1. Should you wish to arrive on October 13 instead, pre-trip hotel charges will be added to your final bill.
Day 1 – October 14 – Welcome to Iceland! Arrive at Keflavik International Airport (KEF) where private transportation will take you to your hotel in Reykjavik. After settling into your hotel, converge with your travel companions for welcome drinks and dinner.
Day 2 – October 15 – Commence your day in the Icelandic capital, Keflavik, with a delightful walking tour of this captivating town. Subsequently, set forth on a journey to the mesmerizing South Coast. Weather permitting, partake in a short hike to witness the breathtaking spectacle of a waterfall. As the day unfolds, consider a visit to the Sky Lagoon—an enticing local thermal bath where natural hot springs embrace the ocean in the picturesque Kársnes Harbor. After a rejuvenating dip, return to the hotel and gather for an Icelandic dinner, sharing stories and savoring the unique flavors of this enchanting destination.
Day 3 – October 16 – Explore further into the Icelandic landscape, where captivating black sand beaches and inspiring waterfalls beckon. Today, you’ll immerse yourself in the true essence of the country’s natural wonders. En route to Skogafoss, marvel at the cascading beauty of numerous waterfalls, pausing for a delightful lunch at a charming bistro. Continue your gaze towards the Dyrhólaey Peninsula for even more incredible landscapes before concluding the day at your new accommodation in Vik.
Day 4 – October 17 – Awaken in the quaint town of Vik, nestled on the remote seafront and overshadowed by the Katla Volcano. Before continuing our journey along the south coast, pause at the local Reynisfjara beach, where black pebbles and basalt columns emerge from the sea. Back on the road, venture towards Fjardargljufur Canyon, a stunning steep gorge carved by the river below. The day concludes with a visit to Stjornarfoss, where cascading waterfalls feed into a nearby stream before the glacier water makes its journey back to the sea.
Day 5 – October 18 – Just an hour north of your accommodation lies Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, a glacial-framed lake hosting floating icebergs and wildlife sightings, including seals along the icy shores. Today, you’ll embark on an off-road adventure to explore the mesmerizing ice caves, where vibrant hues of blue will dazzle your eyes. This experience provides an unforgettable glimpse into ethereal beauty hidden within glacial formations.
Day 6 – October 19 – Today marks your return to the capital city of Keflavik, with a unique stop at the affectionately named Yoda Cave, known for its recognizable silhouette. Along the way, take a brief pause back in the charming town of Vik for a delightful meal. Once you arrive in the city, you’ll have a moment to settle into your accommodations before joining the group for a memorable farewell dinner.
Day 7 – October 20 – Farewell Iceland. With cherished memories of a journey through the land of fire and ice in hand, you will return home. A private transfer will direct you back to Keflavik International Airport (KEF) for your return flight back to the US.

- Traveler must make a NONREFUNDABLE deposit payment of $400 at time of registration to secure her spot.
- Monthly minimum payment of $400 is required on the first of every month until paid in full to keep your reservations current.
- Final payment must be made 90 days before the trip date.
- A 50% refund can be requested prior to 6 months before the trip start date found in your invoice.
- No refunds for cancellations within 6 months of the trip date found in your invoice.
- A $250 penalty will be charged for any outstanding balance after the final payment date found in your invoice.
