ITINERARY
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ญ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ต – Welcome to Seoul, South Korea! Arrive at Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN), and private transportation will bring you to our accommodation. After settling into your room, join your group for a welcome dinner in the heart of Myeongdong, South Korea.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ญ๐ฌ – Take a private walking tour of Seoul. Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire the intricate architecture and stunning gardens. In the afternoon, explore Bukchon Hanok Village, a traditional Korean village where you can wander through narrow streets lined with hanok (traditional Korean houses). To end the day, your group will indulge in more local cuisine for dinner.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฏ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ญ๐ญ – FREE Day in Seoul. Explore the city by visiting a museum, or indulging in spa treatments. Jeonju is a city two hours by train where you can find the 15th-century Gyeonggijeon Shrine with portraits of former kings. Jeonju is home to a Traditional Korean Wine Museum that demonstrates the making of local rice wines. Complete the day by rejoining your group for dinner at one of the many street vendors. The night markets are the best way to enjoy the flavors of South Korean Street food, and where you can find traditional Korean souvenirs.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฐ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ญ๐ฎ – On this day you will have a private tour of the demilitarized zone (DMZ). This day trip will allow opportunities to learn about the history of the Korean peninsula and see the border between North and South Korea. Visit the Joint Security Area (JSA), where you can stand on the very border that divides the two Koreas. You will return back to Seoul to enjoy your final dinner in the capital city of South Korea.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฑ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ญ๐ฏ – Take a first-class train to the port city of Busan, known for its beaches, mountains, and temples. Busan is home to Beomeosa Temple which is a Buddhist shrine founded in 678 A.D. at the base of Geumjeong Mountain. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฒ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ญ๐ฐ – Take a private walking tour of Busan. Visit Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a Buddhist temple that is located on the coast. The temple is built on a cliff overlooking the sea, and the views are stunning. In the afternoon, visit Gamcheon Culture Village, a colorful village that is built on a hillside. The village is full of brightly colored houses and narrow streets, and it’s a great place to wander and take photos. In the evening, visit Jagalchi Market, a large fish market where you can try the seafood in one of the many restaurants in the market.
๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ณ – ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ญ๐ฑ – FREE Day in Busan. Spend the day relaxing at a Busan beach, or explore the city on your own. If you are feeling more adventurous, take a short ride to tour Gyeongju. Gyeongju is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was the capital of Korea during the Silla Dynasty. Some popular attractions include Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Donggung Palace, and Wolji Pond. To culminate your time in Korea, you’ll gather for a memorable farewell dinner to reminisce with the newfound friends you’ve made along the journey.
