June 9-16, 2023
Join WTA for an enchanting time in Croatia! On this trip, you will visit the praiseworthy cities of Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik. Croatia has developed a wide artistic, literary, and musical culture over the centuries. The country’s rich heritage lives beyond its museums, churches, and cathedrals. You will be surprised to discover that nearly ten percent of Croatia’s territory is occupied by national parks, nature parks, and protected areas; and nearly half of its land area is covered by untouched nature.
The inland capital of Zagreb is famous for its dazzling Austro-Hungarian architecture and its charm stemming from vibrant culture and history. The stunning upper district of the city is dotted with medieval settlements on hilltops, cobbled streets, and medieval squares. WTA will bring your group to local hot spots to experience truly authentic Croatian culture.
Our second destination on this tour, Dubrovnik, is the most visited city in the country, and with good reason. Not only is it one of the last remaining walled towns in the world, but the fortress views are exceptional! The surrounding stone walls were built between the 11th and 13th centuries to protect the city from war and epidemics. The perimeter wall stretches a full 1.3 miles, consisting of an immense system of forts, walkways, and bastions that offer breathtaking views. Walking through Dubrovnik is truly like a walking through time. Join us on this unique adventure!
Note: We recommend leaving the US on June 8 so that your flight arrives the morning of June 9 – early enough to participate in Day 1’s activities. Should you wish to arrive on June 8 instead, pre-trip hotel charges will be added to your final bill.
