March 29-April 5, 2024
Spain! A country unparalleled in its culture, and WTA plans to expose our travelers to all that the Andulician and Iberian regions have in store. Our tour starts in Seville, where the world of Flamenco was and is a lively community of dancers, singers, and guitar players. The show will be impressive through the expressions of the mighty dance of Triana. In Seville, we will walk the famous streets of Plaza de Espana and experience its breathtaking architecture. The most famous time to visit Andalucia is during Santa Semana festivals with many Catholic Churches processionals marching throughout the streets of Seville. You don’t want to miss this occasion!
We will tour Ronda and walk on the iconic Puente Nuevo bridge which is found in the Southern part of the Andalucia region. The history of bullfighting will come alive as we cruise the famous bull ring and see the sculpture of the fighting bull. During this tour we will visit the incredible whitewashed town of Pueblos Blancos or “white houses of Zahara”. Here you may want to buy some of the best olive oil in the world!
Our Spanish adventure will ultimately take us back to Madrid, and we’ll of course enjoy tapas throughout our journey. A visit to Parque de El Retiro and the Royal palace of Madrid will allow a glimpse into the rich history of Spanish Monarchy. Throughout the city you will find a combination of Muslim, Jewish, and Catholic cultures all entwined, making Madrid an exceptional place to visit. While in Toledo you can enjoy the public gardens, and witness some of the best kept Roman architecture still in existence.
