 Itinerary Snapshot

Day 1 – Oct 12: Welcome to Bordeaux Arrive at Bordeaux Airport (BOD) where private transportation whisks you to your boutique hotel in the historic city center. In the later afternoon, meet your local guide for a walking tour city with stops to admire the Neoclassical architecture, taste local delicacies, and sip your first glasses of wine. This evening, we’ll get to know each other better over a welcome dinner featuring regional specialties paired with carefully selected local wines.

Note: Guests should arrive in Bordeaux by 3pm local time to participate in the first day’s activities. Should you wish to arrive on October 11, a hotel room can be arranged for the pre-night and charges will be added to your invoice.

Day 2 – Oct 13: Culinary Discoveries Begin your morning exploring the vibrant Marché des Capucins with a local food expert, sampling fresh produce and regional delicacies. Next, join a celebrated chef for an intimate cooking class, mastering classic French techniques. Savor your creations during lunch with perfectly matched wines. The rest of your afternoon is at leisure.

Day 3 – Oct 14: Médoc Wine Tour Venture into the prestigious Médoc wine region for exclusive château visits and private tastings. Meet passionate winemakers who share stories passed down through generations. Drive along the famous Route des Châteaux, passing legendary estates like Château Margaux and Château Mouton Rothschild, perfect for photos of these architectural masterpieces. This evening, return to Bordeaux for dinner at a hidden gem restaurant known only to locals.

Day 4 – Oct 15: Saint-Émilion Wine & City Tour  Journey to charming Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage village built into limestone cliffs. Explore underground cellars and taste exceptional wines in this medieval setting. Participate in a wine blending workshop where you’ll uncover what makes this region’s wines so exceptional. After lunch, tour the picturesque village of Saint-Émilion. Return to Bordeaux city in the later afternoon to rest before dinner.

Day 5 – Oct 16: Arcachon Bay Day Trip Discover the coastal treasures of Arcachon Bay, a magical inner sea that changes with winds and tides. Explore the elegant 19th-century villas of the Winter Town district and climb Europe’s highest sand dune for panoramic views over the Atlantic Ocean and Landes Forest. Embark on a traditional boat to visit authentic oyster farming villages, learning about this ancient craft while tasting the freshest oysters paired with crisp white wines.

Day 6 – Oct 17: Free Day in Bordeaux Enjoy a free day to explore Bordeaux at your own pace. Visit the stunning Cité du Vin museum, stroll through elegant shopping districts, or simply relax at a sidewalk café watching the world go by. This is your time to discover personal interests and soak in the French lifestyle. This evening, celebrate your final group dinner with a farewell feast at a Michelin-recommended restaurant.

Day 7 – Oct 18: Departures After breakfast, private transportation returns you to Bordeaux Airport (BOD) for your departure, carrying unforgettable memories and greater knowledge of French wines and cuisine.

Our trips are open to all adult women. Our average traveler age is 55, but we’ve welcomed travelers as young as 20 and as old as 81. Age shouldn’t be a limiting factor to you exploring the world!

Additional Information

Traveler must make a NONREFUNDABLE deposit payment of $400 at time of registration to secure her spot.

Monthly minimum payment of $400 is required on the first of every month until paid in full to keep your reservations current.

Final payment must be made 90 days before the trip date.

A 50% refund can be requested prior to 6 months before the trip start date found in your invoice.

No refunds for cancellations within 6 months of the trip date found in your invoice.

A $250 penalty will be charged for any outstanding balance after the final payment date found in your invoice.
