Day 1 – October 26

Arrive at Cairo International Airport (CAI), where private transportation whisks you to your hotel. Settle into your accommodations, then gather with your group for a warm welcome dinner featuring authentic Egyptian flavors and the hospitality your hosts are famous for.

Day 2 – October 27

Begin at the ancient necropolis of Sakkara, where the iconic Step Pyramid of Djoser rises from the desert sands as the world’s oldest known pyramid. Visit a traditional carpet school to watch skilled artisans practice centuries-old techniques, their vibrant threads bringing intricate designs to life. This afternoon, venture to the legendary Giza Plateau, where three magnificent pyramids pierce the sky and the enigmatic Sphinx stands eternal guard. As sunset casts long shadows across the plateau, return to your hotel for relaxation before an evening of local delicacies.

Day 3 – October 28

Your expert guide helps you select the freshest ingredients as you learn about the subtle differences between regional spice blends. Then enter a warm Egyptian family home, where you’ll cook under patient guidance, learning to prepare beloved dishes like perfectly spiced kofta and authentic Molokhia. Share this feast family-style while learning about Egyptian eating customs and daily life, finishing with cups of mint-laced Egyptian tea served with genuine hospitality.

Day 5 – October 30

This morning, catch a regional flight to Luxor, the world’s largest open-air museum graced with breathtaking architecture on both banks of the majestic Nile. Your discovery begins at the Valley of the Kings, where you’ll capture photos of Queen Hatshepsut’s temple and the Memnon Statues. Savor a delightful lunch at a cherished local gem before relaxing at your accommodations and reflecting on the day’s captivating experiences.

Day 6 – October 31

Explore the East Bank’s magnificent wonders as your guide reveals Karnak and Luxor temples, Egypt’s second-largest archaeological treasures after the Great Pyramids. Karnak’s massive Hypostyle Hall stands as the world’s largest, its construction spanning over two millennia. Visit the Luxor Temple, known as “ipet resyt” in Egyptian, which translates to “the southern sanctuary,” embodying Egypt’s enduring legacy with its rich history and architectural grandeur.

Day 7 – November 1

Return to the energy of Cairo, ascending the iconic Cairo Tower for breathtaking views stretching to the pyramids on the horizon. Dive into the medieval atmosphere of Khan el-Khalili bazaar, where narrow lanes overflow with glittering lamps, fragrant spices, and traditional crafts. You’ll have free time to shop and explore independently before rejoining the group for a farewell dinner with views sweeping across Cairo.

Day 8 – November 2

After breakfast, a private transfer takes you to Cairo International Airport (CAI) for your international flight home. Or select the three-night Jordan extension to explore Wadi Rum’s mystical deserts and Petra’s rose-red temples before your departure.

Day 8 – November 2 (Extension Begins)

Board a flight to Aqaba, Jordan’s gateway to the Red Sea. Upon arrival, drive through stunning desert landscapes toward Wadi Rum, where towering sandstone cliffs frame an otherworldly landscape. As the sun sets, arrive at your luxury desert camp nestled among these ancient rock formations. This evening, experience authentic Bedouin hospitality under star-filled skies.

Day 9 – November 3

Spend your morning exploring Wadi Rum’s dramatic landscape, whether by guided jeep tour through narrow canyons or on camelback across the rust-colored sands. Feel the magic of a place where ancient Nabataeans once traveled trade routes and where Lawrence of Arabia left his mark on history. This afternoon, drive toward Petra, stopping to explore along the way before arriving at your accommodations near this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 10 – November 4

Dedicate your day to Petra, the rose-red city carved into towering cliffs over 2,000 years ago. Walk through the narrow Siq, a stunning gorge that opens to reveal the Treasury’s ornate facade. Explore the Monastery, the Royal Tombs, and the altar platform, each discovery more breathtaking than the last. After your Petra exploration, drive to Amman, Jordan’s vibrant capital, arriving this evening.

Day 11 – November 5

Spend your morning soaking in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, where ancient traditions of wellness and healing continue. Float effortlessly in the super-salty waters while taking in views of the surrounding mountains. This afternoon, return to Amman and enjoy free time to explore the city’s modern neighborhoods, souks, and culture. This evening, depart for the Amman Queen Alia International Airport for your international flight home.

Our trips are open to all adult women. Our average traveler age is 55, but we’ve welcomed travelers as young as 20 and as old as 81. Age shouldn’t be a limiting factor to you exploring the world!

Yolima is a horticulturalist originally from Colombia. She lived in Spain and traveled Europe extensively for many years in the early duration of her career. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and dabbles in Italian and French. She enjoys traveling the world and is always up for new adventures! With her extensive knowledge of Europe and South America, and willingness to explore and learn new things, she is unquestionably an adventurous WTA host. This will be her second time hosting our Egypt trip.

Additional Information

Traveler must make a NONREFUNDABLE deposit payment of $400 at time of registration to secure her spot.

Monthly minimum payment of $400 is required on the first of every month until paid in full to keep your reservations current.

Final payment must be made 90 days before the trip date.

A 50% refund can be requested prior to 6 months before the trip start date found in your invoice.

No refunds for cancellations within 6 months of the trip date found in your invoice.

A $250 penalty will be charged for any outstanding balance after the final payment date found in your invoice.
