Itinerary Snapshot

Day 1 – June 13, 2027: Welcome to Lima

Arrive in Lima (New Jorge Chávez International Airport – LIM) and settle into your hotel in Peru’s vibrant capital city. This afternoon, embark on a captivating food and walking tour through Lima’s historic center, sampling the city’s renowned culinary scene, colonial architecture, and bustling street life. Discover why Lima is considered South America’s gastronomic capital as you taste local specialties and learn about Peru’s rich cultural heritage.

Note, most flights from the US/Canada will be overnight flights, departing the evening of June 12th and arriving the morning of June 13th. To fully participate in the tasting tour activity on this first day, you must arrive by 1pm local time in Lima.

Day 2 – June 14, 2027: Lima to Sacred Valley

Begin your morning at the world-class Larco Museum, home to Peru’s finest collection of pre-Columbian art and artifacts, perfect for cultural photography. This afternoon, fly to Cusco and transfer to the breathtaking Sacred Valley for your next two nights. Settle into your accommodations surrounded by towering Andean peaks.

Day 3 – June 15, 2027: Sacred Valley Exploration

Explore the vibrant Chinchero market this morning, where local women in traditional dress sell colorful textiles and handcrafted goods against a stunning Andean backdrop. Discover the fascinating salt mines of Maras with their geometric white terraces cascading down the mountainside, creating perfect photographic compositions. Visit the ingenious agricultural terraces of Moray, where ancient Incan innovation created circular amphitheaters that showcase sophisticated farming techniques.

Day 4 – June 16, 2027: Journey to Machu Picchu

Begin your pilgrimage to Peru’s crown jewel today with scenic train photography opportunities through the changing Andean landscapes. Board the train from Sacred Valley to the charming town of Aguas Calientes, capturing misty cloud forest views along the way. Arrive this afternoon and enjoy free time before resting up for tomorrow’s early morning exploration of the ancient ruins.

Day 5 – June 17, 2027: Machu Picchu

Rise before dawn to catch the first bus up the mountain for the ultimate sunrise experience at legendary Machu Picchu. Your expert guide will position you at the best vantage points to capture this extraordinary Incan wonder as morning light illuminates the ancient stones against misty mountain peaks. Spend the day photographing intricate stonework, dramatic mountain vistas, and the play of light and shadow across the ruins. After lunch in Aguas Calientes, take the train to historic Cusco for your final three nights.

Day 6 – June 18, 2027: Cusco

Now adjusted to the elevation, explore the ancient Inca capital nestled high in the Andes this morning, perfect for architectural photography. Explore the striking contrast of colonial Spanish buildings constructed atop precise Incan stonework during a guided city tour through cobblestone streets. This afternoon, venture outside the city to visit an impressive Incan fortress and archaeological site with dramatic Andean backdrops.

Day 7 – June 19, 2027: Free Day in Cusco

Enjoy a leisurely morning to explore Cusco’s vibrant markets and capture colorful textiles, local vendors, and street life at your own pace. 

Optional Activity: Join the optional horseback riding adventure to Rainbow Mountain for once-in-a-lifetime landscape photography. Experience the thrill of riding gentle horses through dramatic Andean landscapes to witness and photograph the breathtaking natural phenomenon of mineral-streaked mountainsides painted in vivid reds, yellows, and greens. (Optional – extra cost: $265 USD)

This evening, celebrate your Peruvian journey with a farewell dinner featuring a private cooking class where you’ll capture the artistry of traditional recipe preparation.

Day 8 – June 20, 2027: Homeward Bound

After breakfast, transfer to Cusco airport for your journey home. Depart with unforgettable memories of Peru’s ancient wonders, stunning photographs, and the new friendships forged along the way.

Note, you need to book your own departing flight from Cusco (Alejandro Velasco Astete International – CUZ). There will be one shared airport transfer to CUZ this morning.

Traveler must make a NONREFUNDABLE deposit payment of $400 at time of registration to secure her spot.

Monthly minimum payment of $400 is required on the first of every month until paid in full to keep your reservations current.

Final payment must be made 90 days before the trip date.

A 50% refund can be requested prior to 6 months before the trip start date found in your invoice.

No refunds for cancellations within 6 months of the trip date found in your invoice.

A $250 penalty will be charged for any outstanding balance after the final payment date found in your invoice.
