Taste your way through Lisbon and Porto, from market-fresh cooking and coastal wines to Port cellars and fado nights.

Portugal is a country you get to know through its food, and this journey is built around the table. Shop a historic market with a local chef and cook petiscos together, taste rare Colares wines grown in seaside sand dunes, and sip Ports aged for decades in riverside cellars. Between meals, fairytale Sintra, hand-painted azulejos, and the haunting beauty of fado round out a week of Portugal at its most delicious.

Highlights include:

  • Shop the famous Mercado do Bolhão with a local chef, then cook a menu of Portuguese petiscos together
  • Taste rare wines from centuries-old vines grown in the sand dunes of Colares, one of Europe’s smallest wine regions
  • Savor Port wine at historic cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, with sweeping views across the river to Porto
  • Experience an authentic fado performance over dinner in Lisbon’s historic Alfama district
  • Explore Pena Palace and the mystical Quinta da Regaleira on a day trip to fairytale Sintra
